Prison In My Mind

Mind's a cage, thoughts lock every door. Sentence served on a mental floor.

Trapped in loops, no breaks, no time. Doing life inside my mind. Thoughts like shadows, creeping slow.

A prison built where light won't go. Judged by fear that whisper lies. A silent jury beyond my eyes.

Brain's a cell block, walls closing tight. Bars made of doubt, no end in sight.

Hope's a ghost that burned away, left with chains I wear every day.

Every thought a shackle, cold and sharp, cutting deep like a hidden harp.

Dreams die, slowing this hell, where pain's the only story to tell.

MY WORKS

MY BOOK

Rayon Cauthen’s poetry is not just words, it is the pulse of a life shaped by spirits, love, and unbreakable bonds. His grandmother’s spirit whispers through every line, his guardian angel watches over each thought, guiding the pen when the world feels too heavy. His mother’s unwavering faith fuels his courage to rise, even when life threatens to crush him, and his father’s steady presence reminds him that no darkness is permanent. Through the heartbreaks, the triumphs, the quiet battles no one sees, Rayon’s words carry the echoes of those who built him, protected him, and refused to let him surrender. With Tea for All, and the devotion of Carolyn, his creative spirit was reignited, transforming raw experience into poetry that pierces, heals, and lingers, touching the parts of the soul that even the mind cannot reach.

Beauty In The Struggle

Marriage

I take this vow to my dreams, not to flesh or skin, A union with purpose where true battles begin I pledge my mornings to visions. . . . .
